Damotech offers 3 types of services, all rendered by its engineering team.
Conformity inspection Damotech expert(s) will walk the customer's facility and provide a visual conformity inspection report of the racks (what can be observed from the floor). Observations include column, beam and brace damages, missing anchors, safety pins, safety bars and more. The report is signed by a professional engineer and provides recommendations to bring the systems back to conformity with CAN/CSA A344 and MH16.1 (RMI) standards. The report is delivered with an electronic Excel table of the complete list of all noted issues with hyperlinks to the pictures taken during the inspection. This greatly helps in managing the conformity issues on the client-side.
Load Capacity Certification Damotech's expert or team of experts will take complete measurements of all rack systems in the warehouse. They determine the load capacity of the racks under required load combinations taken from CAN/CSA A344.2 (S16-19 for provinces who adopted it) in Canada and MH16.1 in the US and provide a signed and stamped engineering report containing locations, column & upright frame dimensions, beam elevations, and cell capacities. We also provide end-of-row load plaques or adhesive plastic labels of the load capacities to be applied on the first beam of each bay of the warehouse.
Pallet Rack Safety Training Damotech offers on-site training sessions that generally last between 2 to 3 hours. The tailored sessions start with classroom training to review rack safety guidelines and best practices. The second portion is spent in the customer's warehouse, to show participants how to inspect pallet racking and review what to look for. Online training is also available.
