Eco-conscious Rack Repair Minimizes Environmental Impact 

Have you ever wondered what happens to damaged warehouse racking? In too many cases, entire uprights get replaced, creating a mountain of discarded steel. At Damotech, we take a different approach. Our eco-conscious rack repair process prioritizes resource efficiency. We meticulously assess the damage and selectively repair only the affected sections. 

Our repair kits are made of heavy-gauge steel, which acts as built-in protection, preventing future damage to the repaired rack location. This means fewer replacements and a significant reduction in our environmental footprint. This minimizes waste and reduces the environmental impact of steel production and disposal.

Our rapid growth has also driven Damotech’s commitment to eco-conscious practices. To meet our sales demands, we needed to triple our warehouse capacity. Faced with two options—doubling our floor space or increasing production efficiency within our existing facility—we chose the latter. Expanding floor space would have increased operational waste, energy, and water consumption. Instead, we invested in state-of-the-art equipment and automation to boost production per square foot.

6 Additional Ways We Are Building a Greener Future

Paperless Operations

At Damotech, we significantly reduce paper usage by adopting electronic tracking and reporting manufacturing systems. We also developed the industry’s only dedicated cloud-based safety inspection and maintenance platform. This eco-conscious approach leads to less paper waste and a lower carbon footprint.

In-House Production

By painting our products at our facility, we’ve significantly reduced our environmental footprint. The result is less transport pollution and packaging waste. Plus, we have more direct control over the process quality, and reduced shipping delays. This translates into shorter lead times for you and a greener future for all!

Electrostatic Powder Coating

We utilize electrostatic powder-coated to produce a durable finish, less waste, and a smaller environmental footprint. Electrostatic powder coating eliminates the emission of Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs) found in traditional paints. VOCs contribute to air pollution and can have adverse health effects.

Water-Free Manufacturing

Our manufacturing process for rack repair kits and protective guarding is entirely water-free, ensuring no byproducts are discharged into the sewage system.

Recycling Metal Scraps

We recover and recycle every ounce of metal scraps generated during our on-site production process. This practice reflects our commitment to minimizing waste and reducing our environmental impact.

Green Front-Office

Several solutions were implemented to minimize the front-office environmental impact. These include motorized blinds to reduce overheating, low-flush toilets to conserve water, and automated lighting and heating systems to reduce energy consumption.
